Integration of proper Window Manager theme file?
Hi everyone. The screenshot pretty much explains what this post is about. The calculator window contains the actual theme that's installed on my setup right now. I'm not exactly sure how that works but that theme happens to be BlackMATE and it's my favorite dark theme of all becaue it's very eye ...

Re: MX-19 Repository: The Thunderbird Thread
Are you printing screenshots from file or are you printing from within the web-browser? Sometimes color adjustments can be made from the browser cups settings as well? Last but not least, have you tried it by booting to MX with systemd enabled during boot? I've been able to correct printer issues ...

Re: MX-19 Repository: The Thunderbird Thread
I DID bring the .thunderbird folder along, yes. But I had to manually add lightning when I upgraded first. Given all that was now in order I assumed it would be fine when upgrading from the former 68 to the current. There is just NO way that I am going to start with a clean profile.. too many mails ...

Re: Sound from External speakers but NOT AT ALL from Notebook
@ForWIW I really don't understand what you want me to do with this line here? file:///usr/share/doc/linux-doc-4.19/html/sound/hd-audio/models.html#alc22x-23x-25x-269-27x-28x-29x-and-vendor-specific-alc3xxx-models Do you actually want me to place that entire line, exactly as you presented it here ...

Re: Sound from External speakers but NOT AT ALL from Notebook
@aus9 I don't know why you're being so impatient. There were quite a few replies for me to go through and consequently it's not easy to be as accommodating as you might expect. That EeePC is in another room, so I have to go back and forth with a USB stick for easy information access, testing ...

Re: Sound from External speakers but NOT AT ALL from Notebook
Also, when I utilize the F6 key and view the options on the bottom of the screen ... one of those is Auto-Mute and that one appears to be enabled. Perhaps that's the problem? There's actually another post right here on the forum with a solution. But aside from installing alsa, the user didn't ...

Re: Sound from External speakers but NOT AT ALL from Notebook
@ForWIW @Everyone else ... Utilizing Thunar as root, I created the needed .conf file and inserted booth lines between reboots. Actually I inserted both of them at the same time and then just kept one of them disabled while the other one was being enabled/tested. Both lines worked i.e. the sound ...

Re: Sound from External speakers but NOT AT ALL from Notebook
Well, the R101D Model is part of the problem for me. Using Thunar as root, there is no ... /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf ... for me to find. That's actually the reason why I posted here, because I thought it might have something spoecific to do with MX Linux? I'll go through all of the posted ...

Re: advice: xfce and its panel are difficult to separate
I believe it's part of MX Tools, but there's actually a way for you to save all of the panel settings as a file. That file can then be movied to another user or even another similar machine and as long as the same version of XFCE is running there, those panel settings can then be imported to the ...

Re: advice: xfce and its panel are difficult to separate
I dunno, goofed around with about half a dozen different panels during the past 10 years, but for sheer speed & efficiency I always ended up returning to XFCE panels since I found those to be the most customizable of all of them. To each their own of course, but I stuck with XFCE panels now for the ...
