Re: MX-Fluxbox 1.0 released
Typically (not sure for all), you will not have icons on the desktop. The work flow whit these is much faster once you get used to them.
Thanks Buck.
When you say "workflow" makes sense as well. I am mostly on Firefox, mail and a few apps, not a power user, rarely switching between ...

Re: MX-Fluxbox 1.0 released
@ Jerry @ manyroads
Thanks for the explaining. I was all ready to install because quite frankly it sounds amazing, but not sure I'll benefit -and yes might confuse me!
As for fast, my system is only 8GB Ram, but as Jerry suggested (and I didn't realize at the time) when I made a post regarding ...

Re: MX-Fluxbox 1.0 released
If I may ask (and this is from inexperience).
...so FluxBox takes the place of other Desktop Environments, like XCFE, KDE and Gnome? (XCFE I believe is the default overlay for MX)
Or is this a replacement for Thunar File Manager?
Jerry mentioned quick startup but right now I log into MX and the ...

It was fact-based and using the reviewer's own words. Not sure if there is an issue with calling out inconsistencies. Debate is healthy.
I found his review muddled and without focus, that opinion is as valid ...

Re: Dedoimedo: the end of a long, beautiful run?
I'll offer a few points:

A newbie - (which he is not)
A techie - (comparing his experience older MX versions )
A designer - with very subjective preferences.
