A follow-up question: Supposing I want to install the latest LibreOffice 24.x, is there a way of updating it without uninstalling and reinstalling it?
Based on the instructions posted above, the current version needs to be uninstalled first?

Re: Question about LibreOffice updates [Solved]
It worked like a charm, Jerry3904.
The old version needs to be uninstalled first, of course.
Many thanks, everyone.

Question about LibreOffice updates [Solved]
Hello, everyone.
I have LibreOffice 24.2.5.2 installed. I think I installed it via the Package Manager (Backports version) some time ago.
I'd like it to receive regular updates. Can I add a repo or take some other action?
Many thanks in advance.

Zen browser
Hello, everyone. I've been giving Zen a test drive these past few weeks and I gotta say it looks very promising. The only gripe I have so far is that I whenever I hover the mouse pointer over a link, it doesn't turn into a "hand" but rather stays an arrow. I got it installed via Flatpak because only ...

Re: xrandr scaling does not stay as set
It was the default setting so I didn't tinker with it.
I'll see how it goes.
Many thanks.

xrandr scaling does not stay as set
Hello, everyone.
On a laptop with a 1920x1080 resolution, the fonts are so small that I try to adjust it by using the xrandr option in MX Tweak.
I set it to 1,51 but after the reboot it goes back to 1,11. How can I make it permanent?
Many thanks.

Thank you for your answer.
OK, then. So, any other advantages of systemd?
Can I change boot priority in GRUB so I can boot into systemd?

About Snap
Hello, everyone. I managed to install Snap because I needed to update Skype. Reading the manual of how to install Snap, it says that I have to reboot after installing snapd and specifically into systemd. Why is that? The first time I booted into my default MX option in GRUB and it didn't launch ...

Re: Toolbar icons don't show in Evolution [Solved]
Thanks for the help.
I did what they suggest but it only inproved it a bit (they still looked whited out).
Well, if I want to fix this permanently I have to change the overall theme (not likely right now).
