Re: Single or Double click?

Single click is just so much more relaxing. None of that agitated muscle tension. Since becoming enlightened I now always change my Windows installs to single click.

Re: Low monitor resolution after transplanting MX SSD into new system

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried that and file didn't exist (pretty sure I checked that already after a search).

Low monitor resolution after transplanting MX SSD into new system

I successfully moved my MX SSD (and a couple of data hard drives) from a 10 year old system to a new machine with Windows 11 pre-installed on NVME. The old system had an Nvidia GTX 1060, the new has a Radeon RX 6700 XT. I purged the Nvidia drivers before the move.

Everything is working perfectly ...

Re: MX-21 KDE/plasma RC1 feedback

Spectacle in RC1 crashes every time I close it (verified on 2 machines)

Sadly i can confirm that spectacle crashes (both under init and systemd)

On plain bullseye+KDE, it does not crash even though it seems to be using the exact same package version (20.12.3-1)

I sent up an updated ...

Re: MX-21 KDE/plasma RC1 feedback

That works for me, it starts ksnip when I press Print. Might be a keyboard layout issue maybe? Do you have a special layout that needs to be set?

I had the same issue. In Settings > Custom Shortcuts, the Print key is pointing to kde-spectacle which is not installed by default. Working ...

Re: MX-21 KDE/plasma RC1 feedback

the print key is not working (for taking screenshots), tried different keyboard settings. The key is not even recognized. On MX19.4 all is fine.

Re: MX 19 Repository: The Liquorix Kernel Thread

Ps:I mention the Liquorix kernel 5.13 series, installed with smxi with nvidia beta driver NVIDIA worked well

Thanks for the heads up on smxi. I was unaware of this tool; it enabled installation of nvidia 470.63.01 (latest stable) which is running well with Liquorix 5.13. Nvidia 460 from ...

Re: MX-21 Xfce or KDE?

I'll be changing to KDE with MX-21. I love XFCE, but after installing the kde-plasma desktop from MXPI, I'm converted.

After a reboot, the KDE session restores multiple windows and their positions accurately; this didn't happen in XFCE which was a minor irritation. I can even have wobbly windows ...
