I'm pretty sure that there may be a post here somewhere that addresses this issue, but I need something that will not depend on any significant prior understanding of Networking or Linux.

Being a newbie is a pain and I suppose it is to everyone involved...

But I had an almost impossible search for the "new post" button... I think I found it just by accident, what is a simple way to find it?

Not sure exactly why, but it seems it was necessary only to reboot MX and then the icons were in place and Tor started normally...
