Re: Dolphin remote

Need more input.
I have set up remote connections in Dolphin
How?

Have you looked in Dolphin's handbook? Control -> Help.

I added them from the network options?!

Yes I have searched the manual, FAQ, help and Google. So far the only thing is someone says delete it, but I am doubtful that is ...

Dolphin remote

I have set up remote connections in Dolphin and they work well, kate edits files as though they were local.

How do I disconnect from a remote connection? Is it automatic within Dolphin, or timed or just per session?

When I last used KDE we used Konqueror!

Re: Keeping home folder when upgrading [SOLVED]

I did exactly this, during install the installer can preserve home and offers options if you have an existing home directory. If you choose to rename and start again you can drag and drop your files from user.001 to user and setup KDE from scratch. I would suggest another backup in case something ...

I used a PPA for Ubuntu and the KDE ...

But does your Chromebook have a Pentium D processor from 2005?
No, but it was unusable with Firefox so a different browser makes a world of difference. Also XFCE to KDE made no visible difference to program usability. I have been an XFCE fan for some time but this KDE is remarkably good.

This version of kmail has all sorts of issues, I would wait for an update and use thunderbird.

shmu26 wrote: Wed Aug 26, 2020 11:33 am So you mean once a program is open, you can't drag the tab?
An open program sometimes moves when closed.
Open program, right click and pin.
Close program and then drag to position.

Re: Rearrange open tabs on KDE desktop?

I have mine set to Manually and then by program name. I have to close the program but then it stays where it is dragged to.
