Re: nvidia optimus [Solved]
I installed nvidia drivers with mx-tools, then bumblebee and bumblebee-nvidia.
hey there,
did you install the driver through MX-Tools and then install bumblebee manually after that?
if thats the case, then you should uninstall them all:
sudo ddm-mx -p nvidia
sudo apt-get --auto-remove purge ...

Re: Goodbye everyone!
Good luck with it!
everyone has a different definition of a-perfect-os in mind and is free to choose what he/she thinks is the best according to his/her needs. no one's forced to use something particular.

Re: Microsoft Defender goes Linux
If the Linux community welcomes ms into the community, then I will be moving to a version of BSD,or something else.

that was my ...

Re: Microsoft Defender goes Linux
it is very unlikely I will ever trust Microsoft's intentions regarding Linux.
well said ,
and i'm wondering why ms is trying so hard to poke into other area's like linux, android, etc...
since im not a security expert to comment on the security aspects of it, it seems to me that ms is getting ...

Re: A question about data recovery
Just had to apologize everyone who was offended by that last line of my last post. I respect women, I'm not an anti-feminism, I really feel ashamed now.

Re: A question about data recovery
I think this is your best course of action. Unfortunately. I would even skip asking for a new hd from such unscrupulous people. They may "spit in the salad" so to speak. That hd is still young enough and fine even if it is the original one. Disk drive lifetimes (in usage) are 20,000 hours or more ...

Re: Do you use a conky - Y or N and Why?

Re: A question about data recovery
It's certainly possible that moisture was affecting the old hard drive and that the shop tech was just lucky to be able to get it to run long enough to access and copy the data from it before it failed. I've had that happen before with a drive that was failing but not completely dead yet.
At this ...
