go to mx tools > tweak > compositor tab > compositor dropdown menu choose compton > apply
add compton to "session and startup" in application autostart from whisker menu
then you will have to set the opacity / transparency in the terminal's preference .

to be honest just use dd with "conv=sync" . i was told by someone that in a IRC chat "rufus is dd-GUI in windows with bloat (read : feature)" . that's verbatim . unetbootin is great imo , but most forum dwellers (debian , arch , devuan , artix , void , gentoo , freeBSD , openBSD , slackware ...

And vlc, I believe.
yes , but little did i know , at that time my installer image was a bit broken , so whisker menu , vlc , and a part of Libre Office wasn't properly installed , installing them from the MX Package Installer fixed ...
