Please update FreeFileSync

FreeFileSync, a very good folder comparison and synchronization tool (https://freefilesync.org/) is still on version 9.3 in the stable MX Linux package installer repo, but on the developer's website version 10.18 is currently available. Any plan to update it, please?

Thanks

Re: MX-19 Beta 2.1 Feedback

This has been happening to me with MX-18.3 too. I just unticked the single entry for the speaker and both disappeared, since I don't need them.

If only Mailnag http://www.webupd8.org/2016/03/mailnag- ... -with.html could be used with XFCE, it would be the best of all in my opinion.

Re: Please help !!! Unable to access GUI after update

This is exactly what happened to me yesterday. I fiddled with the repositories without thinking how dangerous this can be (for Linux newcomers like me), and an instant later I was offered a myriad of updates. This happened while I was also doing other things a bit in a hurry, and as soon as I ...

Re: Question on GRsync

Lucky has the option of doing a "dry run" that lets you test the backup without actually copying/pasting any files so you can check what it will actually do before doing it.

Yes, but other sync apps (FreeFileSync on Linux and Syncback on Windows, for example) allow you to interact with the dry ...

Re: Daily use of MX Linux (and Antix if you use it as well)

I'm a translator and have started using MX Linux for work about one month ago, being dissatisfied of the way Windows 10 manages RAM and updates and its functional degradation over time.

Unfortunately, 98% of the translation industry uses Windows or Mac, the main reasons being Office (no Linux ...

Files copied to a vfat filesystem will lose (lose track of) the unix permissions for the files.
Ah, I didn't pay attention to this. Then, I will use a dedicated ext4 USB stick for the /home directory only. Thanks.

Re: Question on GRsync

I just use the Lucky Backup app that came preinstalled in MX.

I should admit that Lucky Backup is more complete than GRsync, so I've switched to it. Still, what I miss (from Windows) is the possibility to see in detail which files are going to be copied/deleted before proceeding with the actual ...
