Better still, the output of: sudo smartctl -x /dev/sda
Also if you do preserve home, and you use the same user name as the original home directory's name, the installer will later on ask you what you want to do with the original home directory.

Found it. All i had to do is run xfdesktop -R and it come back. Lol so simple yet pain in the butt.

Hi everyone,
I don't know what i did, but my desktop refuse to load. i was opening a zip file and something happen and my mouse froze. i had to manually shut down my PC. When i restart, everything was working fine except the desktop.
