They aren't installed by default in MX.
It looks to me like they are for repository servers so most desktop installations won't have them.

Re: feedback on MX 23.6 and recent versions
Xfce stores settings in 25 or so config files in ~/.config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml.
If you replace the folder or any files in it with backups the changes may not take effect immediately. You should log out and log back in, or reboot.

Re: Just Two Weeks Left Before Debian 13
I'm relatively new to MX... how much time later than Debian, is the new MX version usally released?
Last time it was Debian 12 on 10 June 2023
https://lists.debian.org/debian-announce/2023/msg00001.html
and then MX 23 on 31 July 2023

lightdm or kernel 6.12.35+1 bug?
Last week I posted this: https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php?t=85281
After that I installed kernel 6.12.35+1. I thought that fixed all the problems but today I noticed this.
1. Log out. That returns you to the lightdm login screen. The power menu items are normal.

Re: XFCE panel icons duplicate and gear icons issue [Solved]
That hasn't been my experience.vitforlinux wrote: Mon Jul 21, 2025 9:39 am If programs are installed from the MX software, apt, or synaptic, there are no particular problems.
Also I have no problems with Firefox, I only used it as an example.

Re: XFCE panel icons duplicate and gear icons issue [Solved]
I have the same or similar problem with certain applications.
I don't know if the problem is XFCE or docklike-taskbar.
In some cases you can fix incorrect icons by editing the application's .desktop file.

Re: libwayland-client0/stable breaks stuff?
That was interesting. I purged winehq-stable, removed the winehq repo and keys, apt updated, autoremoved, installed wine from MXPI Popular Applications and then
sudo apt install -s libwayland-client0/stable

libwayland-client0/stable breaks stuff?
In the MX Weekly News this week it says:
Some users who updated before the fixed packages were available may want to make sure their wayland libs are the correct version with “sudo apt install libwayland-client0/stable”.
I don't use KDE or Wayland. I probably updated before this was fixed. This ...

I think you can only rearrange the custom actions.
I don't think you can change the others.
