System is now installed and ready for testing.

First observations:

Startup fast
Found Wireless Network without any problems
Recognized and set up mature Wacom Tablet
Desktop will take a little getting time to embrace. Been with KDE, Gnome, or Unity for too long.
Shutdow fast

I am posting from Danum's version. It appears to me that there is a conflict between M12b2's kernel and the ATI driver that Warren is loading. I have drawn this conclusion from the fact that both Danum's and MX14b2 both work and they have a newer kernel than M12b2.

I have tried the liveCD. I was able to get in and post from it. This is more than I can do with M12b2.

With the roadblock install, the nomodeset video=uvesafb:mode_option=640x480-24,mtrr=3,scroll=ywrap items are cheats, the Kubuntu install isn't using any though. I wonder if that video= blahblah cheat works with M12?

I see that see the Kubuntu install is using a 3.11 kernel ...

Yes, I was watching what was going on behind the grub screen and reading the messages as to what was occurring. "cupsd" installed with a OK before everything went black.

I tried the nomodeset vga=791 with the same results. I see the vga mode change during the boot sequence. I am wondering if the ...

Yes, The Screen Resolutions where different, but when it did what ever it does to the video after the installation of cupsd I got the same results.
