Re: Kernel source of currently running kernel [Solved]

OK. I see that my kernel is actually matching what's in the repo. It begs the question, why is uname reporting '6.1.0-17 and 6.1.69-1"? But it answers my first two questions, so if you know the answer to the uname thing, great, but I'm still wondering about whether or not MX modifies the kernel ...

I can't find the source for the kernel I have installed. So, I have some questions. First the diff:

Re: select all in terminal not working [Solved]

Brilliant, Stuart_M ! Weird, but what worked for me:

1. Click and drag to make a partial selection from the end or beginning of what you want selected (you can let go of the mouse).
2. Hold shift and either pageup/pagedown or home/end as appropriate (if you page far enough away from the selection ...

Re: select all in terminal not working [Solved]

well, maybe. It's working with konsole. I hate to switch from the default, but I need it to work, so konsole it is until I can figure it out with xfce_terminal. I'll go file a bug or something :).

select all in terminal not working [Solved]

So, before I go switching terminals (I like the default and don't wanna change), I thought I would ask to see if it's just me or if this is an issue for others...

In terminal, do something that outputs more than one screenful of information.
Select All and copy

Only one screen of the output gets ...

Re: Where's mail?

Yes and always :). So, if you don't have mail going to root when stuff goes wrong, what's the normal way to get notified of issues?

Is mail installed in a basic install of mx ...

Code: Select all

man update-rc.d
Of course, I read it. It talks about priority alright, but it doesn’t talk about how to set it. Any suggestions? I thought about renaming the file, which would work, but it seems to fly in the face of having management tools like update-rc.d.
