On an UEFI laptop (i use UEFI laptops, Lenovo too, but old thinkpads : T420 & T430) you must have at least : /boot/efi as a FAT32(vfat) partition (no need to be big, 100 MB is very large for this) / as a root partition if you want : a swap partition, no mountpoint for this, only a formating in swap ...
