Re: MX-18 Screenshots

OK, lets try the other way round.

Since there are so many knowledgeable experts here, who understand how one UI has to look and why exactly so and not different, I would like to ask you two questions. Maybe somebody is willing to take itself some of its precious time and explain me:

Option 3: Use GRUB2 EFI as your main boot manager

EasyBCD controls the Windows boot menu, and has traditionally been used as the primary boot manager. With EasyBCD, it is possible to add entries for Linux and older versions of Windows to the top-level BCD ...

Re: files on ntfs (windows 10) partition appear as read only.

That behaviour that you're describing is not a fault of Windows and not a fault of Linux.
The reason for it are, for some reason 'borked' FS-permissions.

If the #4 doesn't help, you might try checking/repairing the Windows with 'chkdsk' and then try again.

Re: files on ntfs (windows 10) partition appear as read only.

1. If you are 10'000 % sure it's really, really, really completely shut down and you are really sure that you really checked 1001 time that it's really completely shut down ... ;)

2. Make sure that it's really shut down.

3. Then you would check where the file partition is mounted. Usualy /media ...
