To bypass this annoying WiFi problem i installed a Realtek RTL8811CU/RTL8821CU USB Wi-Fi adapter driver for Linux, downloaded from GitHub, for my RTL8811 USB WiFi adapter.
Surprisingly the RTL8811 adapter worked well. Not only that, but also the onboard WiFi adapter is alive again.

Same problem. Wifi works until and including kernel 6.1.0-10. Wifi adapter is not available with Linux 6.1.0-12 or 6.1.0.13.
Only the wired connection is available. MX Network Assistant does show the wifi adapter (activated), but cannot switch it off or on, when using kernels 6.1.0-12 or 6.1.0-13 ...

I am using MX23 KDE.
I ran into this behavior too after using MX Tools to change the MX splash screen from MXLiveLogo into futureprototype-mx.
I believe something weird may have happened when initramfs was built.

I tried MX Linux 23, but could not boot the live system from my Ventoy boot disk. Only remaining options were reboot or power down.
All older MX versions and also other Linux distros could be booted without any problem.

With the MX Tool no difference. During boot the live system from snap is forced to use the VESA driver, but that does not work.
Without xorg.conf the Nvidia driver is used and the boot is completed.

I made a new snapshot.
Then used Rufus dd mode to create a USB boot device from the iso.
Same happened as before.
Live system loads until a blinking cursor appears.

I edited the title and content of this topic a little. The ¨celestia-gnome¨ package is still present in the Children, Primary school list.
Sorry that i did not notice before that celestia was mentioned twice, in Secondary but also as celestia-gnome in Primary.

Small inconsistency in the MX-21 Package Manager?
Celestia is mentioned among the school packages, found in the Favorite packages of the MX-21 Package installer.
However it won't be installed because Celestia is no longer available in the MX-21 repository.

With Ventoy you need at least to use the latest version to support as many distributions as possible.
I like using Ventoy because i can simply add, remove and boot quite a number of distributions and versions at only one USB boot device.
