So far for me after many attempts I still have not seen the alpha completely booting.. first few times I tried it got part way then errored out stating it could not find the kernel and left me with continue, reboot, and something else for options.. changed the usb I was using 3rd fresh download ...

It came through today earlier and works perfectly. Thank you all for the support and the speed.. totally impressed by you all :)

thanks Dolphin, and everyone else.. it only fails for me when I try the icon in the Toolbox, I thought it was odd, then, today I spent some time and tried both the cli command and the whisker menu link.. both worked...

When I read the workup on Distrowatch on Debian 11 I saw that they are now using wayland. Does this mean MX will be using wayland as well or are you maintaining x? Or am I out to lunch about it LOL Thanks


Debian's gnome can use wayland. Xfce is not there yet.

I always swap to the alternative menu, that default menu is just too fidgety.
