Re: 'Suspend' in Antix
thanks for replying,
I know a suspend button is in the exit panel. But what I was looking for is when pushing the power button it should go in suspend instead of shutting completely down.
In Mint this option is available

Antix on P4 Lenovo 2Gb RAM
Hi,
Yesterday I did install Antix on a somewhat older desktop (Pentium4 - 2Gb RAM). Just wanted to know how much faster Antix is compared to Linux Mint(I use on all my computers).
Well, it is faster indeed. I even installed a Slicer(3D-Printing software) and compared it's speed with the Linux ...

Re: FluxBox in Antix 17.2
Hi guys,
Just installed Antix on a P4 - 2 Gb ram.
Also replaced HD with a SSD
Activated Fluxbox
I'm a bit disapointed about it's speed on internet, I'd expected more speed with this combination :frown:
accessing sites with a minimum of photos or movies it rather fast, but otherwise it is slow, CPU ...

Re: FluxBox in Antix 17.2
Thanks again to clarify that out for me... ;)
BUT... I do not need all these bells and whistles on my desktop or running in the background at all , never used it, not even in my Wintendo era. I need to work with a PC/laptop. It does not have to look fancy.

You may want to try to replace one of the Mint ones with MX. Especially the slowest Mint computer. I was very surprised how much faster is MX in my case.
Well, I might just do that... wait .... I will do that...!

Thanks P.
Great bunch of guys here.
hard to believe that there is always someone prepared to answer 'novice questions'.

Thanks a lot

Re: Antix-Linux install on OLD EEEPC(asus)
Hi guys,
Although I activated the switch 'Automatic reconnect to this network' I need to reactivate and enter login to access the network in the Wicd network manager after I reboot the system.
I suppose that is not how it works..? How can I solve this problem..?
Thanks (again)
Chris
