I think there is a network manager option with antix. Will install the converter and see about network manager & antix and go from there. Really hope to be able to get it working, as Mullvad is essential and would love to switch over to antix.

Thank you @fehlix for your help. Finally able to get back to this and am getting a different error now:

"Could not read script mullvad-daemon. No such file or directory."
After rebooting, the mullvad app starts, but then fails to connect to the daemon.

The "Mullvad VPN" which installs from the MX 23 package manager works. From what I recall this has two scripts called something like "mullvadvpn_download_installer" and "mullvad_sysvinit_scripts". The update worked perfectly & application was able to be updated via the MX Package Installer. If anyone looks at this later, a reboot is necessary for the Mullvad App to work once updated. Otherwise it will give an error message, "App out of sync". Once the system has rebooted, all will work fine ...
