Another user mentioned problems with keyboard control of brightness. My Thinkpad T530 doesn't dim or brighten in response to Fn+F8/F9. They work fine in MX18. Maybe it's Xfce 4.14?
In 19b2, I do get a (pseudo)brightness indicator bar at the upper right, as I would if the keystrokes were working ...
