Re: MX-23 beta 2 feedback thread
OK, my initial effort was to run the beta-2 as a live USB - no problems noticed
Second was to go to an installed beta-1 and updat / upgrade - no problem, everything looked to be upgraded nicely
What I didn't try was to install from the beta-2 USB - that failed. I was going to overwrite an MX-21 ...

Re: MX 19 Repository: The KeepassXC Thread
OK, very quick, installed it, it opened my database, allowed me to get my userId and password to log in here and a selection of other sites, so I'm happy. Whatever else it does new, well I'll find out if/when I need it, but my essentials are working fine.

Re: MX-19 Beta 2.1 Feedback
"you can keep clicking next while the copy is going on...no need to wait."
I didn't know that... I learn something every day... (I forget stuff too)
"It is explained in the User Manual that you can input data and make selections whilst the installation is proceeding."

Re: MX-19 Beta 2.1 Feedback
Question - but not really a problem.
Did anyone else find it a bit "odd" during install that the progress bar gets tp 90-something percent and then it looks like it just hangs until you read the bar which says it's waiting for user input, BUT you have to click the Next button to get to the screen ...

Re: MX-19 Beta 1 Feedback
OK, I've been using MX-19b1 for nearly a week now as my daily driver and I have to say, apart from 2 small maybe errors in the installer, it's given me no problems at all. My usage probably isn't the most rigorous, poke all the corners, test all the features testing, just my daily tasks.

Post Install - Adding My Common Packages
I don't know if this will be of interest to anyone else, but as someone who has a number of machines, and tries out different distros for fun (MX remains my default but seeing what others are doing is interesting) I got fed up of manually installing my commonly used packages.

Re: Update to PIA VPN
Oh, and I deleted the .pia whatever directory via the file manager, not "old school" but far less likely that old fumble fingers here will screw up an "rm -rf" command and end up crying like a... whatever cries

Re: Update to PIA VPN
I hadn't see that, just tried and it works.
Now, what happens when their next update comes along... we'll wait and see
Thanks for the heads up
