VLC audio stutters after pausing and rewind
I have had this problem since installing the MX 23.5, but only lately it has started bugging me off. Every time when I pause or rewind in VLC, whether it was audio or video, the audio stutters 2-3 times after I continue playback and then it continues normally.

Re: Desktop resets randomly [Solved]
Can you copy and paste the error here please?
The other thing I have on my machine is a LONG message about needing to recompile virtual box. I can get around this by doing the following in a terminal. (Annoying, but works )
sudo modprobe -r kvm_intel
That command did not help either, the ...

Re: Desktop resets randomly [Solved]
Nice that you got it solved. It would be really swell if you described here what caused it and how you solved it, so that the info would be around and searchable, in the case someone else has a similar problem down the road
I solved it by upgrading the kernel.
You would need to add ...

Re: Desktop resets randomly [Solved]
Exactly. I wrote the previous message too ambiguously. My bad. Edited it now better.Nokkaelaein wrote: Sat Feb 01, 2025 7:35 amI imagine that number was about Virtualbox, it's at 7.0.x in the repos and 7.1.x in the latest release from Oracle.j2mcgreg wrote: Sat Feb 01, 2025 7:29 am We don't have a Liquorix 7.0.xxx kernel available in MXPI, so where did you get it?

Re: Desktop resets randomly [Solved]
Now I upgraded kernel to 6.12, but VBox does not like it. I had version 7.0 of VBox installed from MXPI so I removed it and manually installed the 7.1, but it did not help.

Re: Desktop resets randomly [Solved]
I will try if kernel upgrade fixes this.Stevo wrote: Fri Jan 31, 2025 10:04 pm That's sort of an older Liquorix kernel; could you try one of the more recent ones in MXPI? Or maybe you could create another user and see if they get the same kablooies.
