I had what may be a similar disaster awhile back. Google Chrome tried to take over. Messed up a lot of my settings. Have not yet re-installed MX.

I have all kind of shortcuts on my desktop. Shortcuts to applications, folders, shortcuts to documents... so all are available to me with only one simple single mouse ...

Richard: Thank you for the screenshot. I like the image. I also like all the shortcuts (links) on both sides of your desktop. Those must give you quick access to all your most used apps, or so I figure anyway, which is the kind of environment I like.

I think, it's about 300kB per image. You can squeeze images quite a lot by saving it to jpeg, e.g. from within Nomacs viewer.
It shrinks about 50% to 80% of png size.
