Re: Recent kernel upgrade broke Nvidia graphics
Yes I have already done this "meantime" thought.
Never mind if I have to wait for a while without nvidia drivers . I had to be sure that I am not alone and I saw an other user with the same problem.
So....it's all ok here !!
Many Thanks !

Recent kernel upgrade broke Nvidia graphics
After I got (today) a kernel update (new kernel : 5.10.0-29) I noticed that the nvidia graphics was broken. So I tried sudo ddm-mx -p nvidia .
After this I reboot and reinstall nvidia drivers with mx-tool. Unfortunately I have the same situation !
So I tried sudo dpkg-reconfigure nvidia-kernel ...

And yet it's very likely to be as you say...some specificity I'm looking for...I just don't know the functional details and I'm afraid to mess with them !!
This is my application : https://sourceforge.net/projects/eortologio-gr/

...and this is a part of the C program , it is a simple call to the external application "firefox" ! Unfortunately it doesn't respond and doesn't even return an error message. In general, the commands commands execl and popen ... somehow do not work (only to the apppimage environment)!

Oh yes I understand !!
This appimage is of personal interest to me, because it comes from my own C program! So I've been trying for 2 years and with an older version of MX to make it run normally. I assumed that something must be wrong with the way the appimage was created ...
