Re: Linux's SystemV Filesystem Support Being Orphaned
The code being orphaned is to support 3 very old (1980s era) Unix filesystems. We don't use any of them, and few Linux users since the ext2 filesystem was introduced in 1993 have ever used them. There are very few machines left running Xenix, Coherent (a Unix clone) or System V Unix and the ...

Linux's SystemV Filesystem Support Being Orphaned
Hi, everyone! Hope you're all having a nice life! :) I just bumped into this while checking my feed: https://www.phoronix.com/news/Linux-SysV-File-System-Orphan An excerpt: Linux developer Christoph Hellwig who had been listed as the maintainer of the SystemV file-system code has decided to orphan ...

Re: Update live-usb-maker-qt-19.11.02.x86_64.AppImage
AppImmage programs don't update. Download the new one, delete the old one. Get the new one, 21.11, here: https://github.com/dolphinoracle/lum-qt-appimage/releases Thanks for that. I was looking in the other one https://github.com/MX-Linux/lum-qt-appimage/releases/tag/19.11.02 One more thing ...

Update live-usb-maker-qt-19.11.02.x86_64.AppImage
Hi everyone! Hope you're all having a nice life! :) I've been using live-usb-maker-qt-19.11.02.x86_64.AppImage , among others (20+ appimages) for some time now. A while ago I tried and failed to update it, not sure what I did wrong. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone here could point me in the right ...

Re: Pulseeffects tutorial [Solved]
Could someone please point me to a Pulseeffects tutorial, primarily the equalizer application? When I search the web there are many hits featuring installation, but none I could find on instructions for setting, saving, or loading presets. The --help option doesn't offer much. Thanks in advance ...

Re: BeeBeep (LAN Messenger) does not work after installation
First, Everybody just chill a bit here. Lets make some things a bit more clear and laid out since there is some confusion. Especially around the term "support". Potential for installation and usability does not equal "support". Linux Distros do not "support" applications just because it can ...

Re: BeeBeep (LAN Messenger) does not work after installation
MX doesn't support BeepBeep, you'll have to contact its developers if it still doesn't work after you've read all of its support documentation on that website you linked. Have you tried it? Clearly you haven't because MX does support beebeep, why wouldn't it? Debian does. I use it and it works. I ...

Re: BeeBeep (LAN Messenger) does not work after installation
Hello, I want to replace a Windows machine by Linux MX and therefore need an internal, cross-platform LAN-messenger replacing Realpopup (Windows only). I can install BeeBeep easily on Linux MX 19.3 64bit (package for Ubuntu), but it does not start after installation: https://www.beebeep.net/ Could ...
