Update
After a little while (the time it took to type this up and check it out on three machines) it started working. Something just took a little time to set itself up in the lan, but it now seems to be working correctly.

You have an ESP (EFI) partition (fat32) with both flags boot and esp , right?
Your picture looks like the ESP (EFI) partition is ext4 - should be fat32.

Re: No soundcard found on new laptop
Searching online, I see several reports of trouble on linux with the Intel Celeron/Pentium Silver Processor High Definition Audio. It looks like a sof-firmware problem.
You may need to go into MX Package Installer, the MX Test Repo tab and install firmware-sof-signed.

While you are sitting around frustrated, why don't you install MX19 in VirtualBox and run the old version of Bibletime in there.

Re: Correct password just brings password entry back again [Solved]
When you logout and select Other,
you will see one box with "Enter your password" under it.
You type root in that box and hit Enter.
You will then be shown a box in which you type your root password and hit Enter.
Then you are logged in as root.

gdebi
I know that we are discouraged from installing from "outside", but I saw where Adrian made a comment about rustdesk and so I downloaded the deb file to take a look at it. I right clicked on the file in thunar and it timed for awhile and did nothing. I could open gdebi-gtk and then choose the file ...
