Re: today update of liquorix-kernel is broken
You'd probably fare better by temporarily returning to the nouveau driver before making a snapshot, so that the system is ready for all type of graphic hardware...also reinstall any wi-fi drivers you might have uninstalled for the same sort of reason. Thanks, Stevo. I might go one step further and ...

Should I try regressing back to 6.12 using Live USB Kernel-update
I've been working on a live persistent boot with a bunch of ham radio software installed. I'd planned to distribute it to friends. I ran into this problem after I updated to the 6.13 kernel (AHS) I have Radeon graphics but it sounds like this could be a problem for my friends with Nvidia graphics ...

Re: MX-21 Live Boot Persistence Broken [SOLVED again]
picture #10 with "grubsave" is correct if not post * full QSI "Quick System Info" report * and how the live usb was made. Thanks so much for your prompt reply, fehlix! You got me thinking and provided the hint I needed to solve the problem. Asking "how the live usb was made" made me think ...

Re: MX-21 Live Boot Persistence Broken [SOLVED again]
I have a new Inspiron 3535 Ryzen 7 laptop and it seems I'm having this problem saving a live persistence boot memory stick configuration again. I don't know how I was able to get the boot settings to stick last time, after DO reminded me to "save", or what I'm missing here, but perhaps there's ...

updatedb / locate Fails in Live USB Authored Snapshot (SOLVED)
I made a snapshot of an up-to-date MX-23 system with a bunch of compiled and installed ham radio applications and a WINE environment too (no ~/ files included from the original system). Then I used MX Live USB Maker to create USB sticks with a new "demo" logon to share with friends. However, I found ...

Re: MX-21 and MX-23 Graybird Theme Lacks Border Contrast
@calinb You may wish to read this page in the MX wiki: https://mxlinux.org/wiki/xfce/changing-border-size-with-xfce4-window-manager/ <snip> Thanks for the excellent link, asqwerth! I found that it provides the information I need for window customization much more readily and concisely than the XFWM ...

Re: MX-21 and MX-23 Graybird Theme Lacks Border Contrast
It looks like you found a solution to your problem which is fine. I mention the below only because it may be of interest or even important to some viewers. <snip> Strangely, disabling the " Set matching Xfwm4 theme if there is one " setting does NOT restore the normal Greybird-mx theme with the ...

Re: MX-21 and MX-23 Graybird Theme Lacks Border Contrast
Thanks, CharlesV! Your suggestion is very close to what I was accustomed to using before the MX-18 EOL. I forgot that MX Tweak has this feature. I've never used it for themes until today but, at one time long ago, I noticed it was there. Your suggested settings also quickly dialed-in a change that ...

Re: MX-21 and MX-23 Graybird Theme Lacks Border Contrast
Thanks for your reply, AVLinux. Ha--I agree about xfwm being frustratingly difficult! I can't believe how much time I've spent searching online and experimenting to make such a simple change, but I'm sick of tolerating my window borders since MX-18 went end-of-life. When I have a bunch of windows ...

MX-21 and MX-23 Graybird Theme Lacks Border Contrast
The lack of Greybird theme border contrast since MX-17/18 has always bugged me. I've studied the XFWM and XFCE sites a bit but, admittedly, I don't wish to spend the time to learn how to create themes myself. I simply want my dark borders back (especially the top border). I've not been able to ...
