Guys unfortunately HP Deskjet 2778 Ink Advantage Wireless Printer is not working well.
Some how it is able to give prints ( though hplip creates a lot of trouble ) but not able to scan. Says no scanner attached.
hp-doctor even said this printer (2700 series) is not supported. But on HP's website ...

Do you get the same message with sudo sane-find-scanner ?

Hplip added support for the DeskJet aio 2300 series in 3.20.5. The changelogs don't show any changes to its support since then so 3.20.11 won't work any better than 3.20.9

I suspect the issue is related ...

my device hp deskjet aio 2336 recognizing with 2300 series by hplip and connecting to mx with usb cable.
cups printing working fine and "sane-find-scanner" detected
found USB scanner (vendor=0x03f0 [HP], product=0x3654 [DeskJet 2300 series]) at libusb:004:005

Use wine only for google picasa.. :rolleyes: dunno why, so many picture manager in mx but i felt different with picasa especially faster for bulk rotate, crop, fix color etc.
Install manual from winetricks with solving dependecies library mscorefont, gdi+, ie7, msls31 and msxml3. Have try picasa.deb ...

Only make as simple as possible. working with dual monitor with diff resolution.

Since dropbox hacked and breaching accident user credential few years ago (2012 and 2016 if not forgotten, googling it.) back to think twice to use major cloud service...

Debian has it on the test branches .
