this will not remove the kernel, just stop updates.

when you rebooted the last time and lost wifi, did you try booting back into the previous kernel?

I'm afraid I wouldn't know how to do that.

Have you tried anything in MX Network Assistant, such as the rfkill commands, or maybe there's something that's put it into airplane mode?

Device 1 is the wired Ethernet device. It could work if you have a cable and a working port/device to plug it into; many routers or wi-fi extenders have one ...

you should be able to post the whole list. but firmware I think would be the most likely culprit. I don't think there is any since the 23.4 isos were built though.

On installation I ALWAYS create an Administrator password but there is no way to enter the BIOS with it or use it within the BIOS, at least any way that I can find.
