I am certain that anyone else buying a System76 computer with specifications similar to mine (see above) will have the same installation problem.
Fortunately, as ...

Re: System76 Serval WS - "Regular" and AHS Versions Major Intallation Problem [Solved]
sudo apt remove linux-image-liquorix-amd64 linux-headers-liquorix-amd64

alternatively, you can disable kernel updates in mx tweak on the "other" tab.
Hooray, Hooray! It's fixed! I did a complete reinstallation of MX Linux 23.4 AHS, I ...

I did this. AFTER I did this, I saw that the MX Updater was "green" and I updated, accepting everything. Unfortunately, when I rebooted, the ...

I'm afraid I wouldn't know how to do that.dolphin_oracle wrote: Thu Dec 12, 2024 3:53 pm hmmm. I didn't remember setting up auto-kernel updates on 23.4. They might well be, I'm checking. If so that is a mistake on my part.
when you rebooted the last time and lost wifi, did you try booting back into the previous kernel?

Re: System76 Serval WS - "Regular" and AHS Versions Major Intallation Problem [Solved]
Have you tried anything in MX Network Assistant, such as the rfkill commands, or maybe there's something that's put it into airplane mode?
Device 1 is the wired Ethernet device. It could work if you have a cable and a working port/device to plug it into; many routers or wi-fi extenders have one ...

I'll be happy to try that suggestion right now. What should I look for when it's completed?

you should be able to post the whole list. but firmware I think would be the most likely culprit. I don't think there is any since the 23.4 isos were built though.
***edit*** there is an ...

On installation I ALWAYS create an Administrator password but there is no way to enter the BIOS with it or use it within the BIOS, at least any way that I can find.

Dear "Stevo" - When I install MX Linux 24.4 AHS the installation goes perfectly and everything works perfectly. But when I do an update - any update, with or without changing repositories - when I reboot the NetworkManager Applet shows only the Ethernet option (grayed out as there is no Ethernet ...
