After installing a snapshot on my HP Dev One, the system starts but waits for about 30 sec. after displaying the MX animation on the splash screen. Thanks for the help. Regardless of how it happened, I removed the backport grub pkgs and re-installed the normal ones. Everything is back to normal now. Thanks again fehlix.

I did not knowingly upgrade grub to a backports version. Somehow the system must have done it.

I noticed today when my Lenovo laptop updated MX Linux 23.2 it did not update the kernal like my other laptop did. Is there a reason for that? It still has the old version of the kernal.
