Beta-2 recognizes my CDROM on /dev/sr0, so boots without any cheats/ tweaks. :-)
On the downside, when the installer has almost finished, and asked where I would like GRUB placing, I click Next and nothing happens. The Close button doesn't work either, so hard reboot required.
Cheers,
Chris.

Re: Can't Get to TTY to Configure X, after installation comp
It occurred to me that I still had the CD knocking around, so I just used the ISO that I had successfully used yesterday. Yesterday, in order to get to the graphical install, I needed to do the
BP=2
load-live-modules
exit
in order for MX to see my installation media. I replicated this behaviour ...

Re: Can't Get to TTY to Configure X, after installation comp
Boot with a 3 at the menu prompt, then login as user etc startx, or simply type inxi -G
We need to know your graphics. You might need to add these cheats also at the boot menu.
nomodeset nouveau.modeset=0 or the equivalent for radian.
When you ran live did you get to the desktop?

Re: Can't Get to TTY to Configure X, after installation comp
inxi -G will tell us something about your hardware drivers.
Do you actually manage to boot and can input username, userpassword then startx?
Hi, anticapitalista.

Re: Failed live boot
@chris_debian,
Even though there is a cli install option, I would have tried to figure out why X wasn't starting in a Live Session, before installing MX14 to harddrive.
There might be some video related cheats you can add to the boot command (or maybe they're available from the F5 key?) Anti or ...

Can't Get to TTY to Configure X, after installation complete
Hi, all.
Thanks to the people on the 'Failed Boot' forum, I have now managed to install MX using the graphical installer. Looking at the graphical installer session, it looks like the devs have made a good looking desktop environment.

### Off topic
System installed and I rebooted as directed. Got to the 'Boot from CD' prompt and it just waits and waits.......no GRUB errors reported during the installation.
Trying install again. If I have any more problems unrelated to this topic, I will post elsewhere.

Re: Failed live boot
With the latest patched delta iso (as posted above), try this.
1. At boot grub, type bp=2
2. Press Enter/Return
3. At the prompt, type load-live-modules
4. Type exit
(It *might* work with the original downloaded iso before patching)
This worked for me, I think the CD I had was the delta2 ...

Re: Failed live boot
'fix2-delta' fails. I'll try to think of another way, but I may come back when the installer can boot. If this is a big issue, should the ISO regress to '-alpha'? Could a different installer be used, as the antiX and Mepis ones seem to work, like other distros.
