Thanks for the suggestion. I installed 6.6 from the package manager, and restarted, but still no notifications are showing up, so I can't pair anything. Only trying on the Dell AIO with the QSI above, will fix the laptop when I get a solution that works on this machine.

What else to try? Thanks!

I'm having trouble pairing any devices with my Dell AIO desktop computer running MX23. The pairing notification with the code shows up on the phone or tablet, but not on the computer, so I can't click "Connect." I tried looking in the Notification settings on the computer, and Bluetooth manager is ...

Good to know, I will do that in the future. I wasn't sure if it would unnecessarily clutter up the forum, but different hardware makes sense. Thanks for everyone's help!

Is it better to start a new thread, or add on to a thread that is relevant to the issue, like I did here?

Problem solved! No amount of anything I tried would result in anything but the message "Waiting for printer to become available" so I finally thought to fire up the windows partition and see if it would recognise the printer from the offical Windows printer installation tool, which it did not. So ...

Keep in mind that Brother lasers will refuse to print if the drum unit has reached its preset EOL.


It does print test pages from the printer console menu, so I don't think that's the problem. It also has a total page printed count of under 700 pages.

Going to give the above tips a shot now and ...

Thank you @asqwerth and @operadude , your posts might both provide me some clues. When I get time later today or tomorrow, I will do some more tinkering and see what I come up with!
