I folowed the instructions shown in this tutorial https://youtu.be/vPfLVsyQU_A
  1. git clone "https://github.com/tomaspinho/rtl8821ce.git" (before i had downloaded via another machine, the master.zip file instead of cloning the git repo)
  2. cd rtl8821ce
  3. sudo m-a prepare
  4. sudo ./dkms-install.sh
  5. sudo modprobe 8821ce ( i had not run this command before, but i saw with lsmod the new driver active)
  6. reboot
Huckleberry Finn and Head_on_a_Stick, thanks you very much for the support. :toast:
For the uninitiated, step 1 can be done on the same machine if you can tether a cellphone. The USB connection is speedy enough to do the clone, and once your wifi is working you can disconnect.
